Pens, Flyers

What better team for the Pens to start turning this ship around than the Flyers. There aren't too many other wins that would feel as good as beating the dirty Flyers in Philadelphia. We would think this slump would be enough to motivate them, but if it takes the Flyers, well then so be it, we're not here to argue. A win there would be a good momentum builder to go into Wednesday's game against the Capitals. We all know what happens when the Pens play the Capitals. First off, it's OMG Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin! And then Ovie's little issue with Malkin and basically trying to kill him every time they're on the ice together. It'd be nice to beat them too. But we're getting a little ahead of ourselves here.

Tim Wallace has been sent back to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Coach Therrien says Pascal Dupuis is a maybe to play in Philly. He made it through half of yesterday's practice. Therrien must think it's a good possibility if Wallace was sent back to the Baby Pens. We think Wallace is a pretty good player, shouldn't be too long before he's back again at some point.

The lines were once again mixed around in practice. They looked like this: Crosby with Malkin and Dupuis, Staal with Sykora and Cooke, Talbot with Satan and Kennedy, and Jeffrey with Minard and Godard. When Dupuis left practice, Satan took his spot on the top line. This whole line juggling thing is just getting more and more annoying. If it works out then we're willing to admit we're wrong, but geez.

Mario Lemieux was watching practice closely yesterday during the last half an hour, which is something he doesn't normally do. Lemieux also followed Therrien off the ice and had a talk with him. Therrien said they took time to review some things about where they're supposed to play and made some adjustments. Uh-oh. Looks like Lemieux could be unhappy. Which he has every right to be at this point. We shall see what unfolds in the days ahead. And whether the Pens can win a game or not.

Let's Go Pens!
