Pens Make Third Annual "Dads' Trip" Twenty-seven fathers of players, coaches, and staff members will be making the trip with the team on the road to Nashville and Colorado. Ray Shero started the Dads' Trip during his first season with the Penguins after he had participated in others with other teams. Seven Dads are "veterans" of the trip and have participated in the three years before including Troy Crosby, Dan Whitney, Henry Staal, Andre Fleury, Serge Talbot, Rick Orpik, and Bob Scuderi. It seems weird to see Andre Fleury without the Marc and Rick Orpik? What a name!
For Orpik, The Hits Keep Coming Good article here. Brooks Orpik is third in the league and first in the Atlantic Division with 134 hits.
The Penguins' game against the New York Rangers on Sunday, January 18 at Mellon Arena will be televised nationally by NBC. The time of the game is 12:30 p.m.
Penguins' to-do list for rest of season is lengthy Malkin knows this, saying "We need everybody to score," he said. "We need wins. We need to win every game. Now it's ninth place. We need to play hard and win every game and go up [in the standings]."
Why don't the Pens go after Avery? Wow. Just wow. Don't get us started on that one.
We'll try to get some Steelers info on here tomorrow. In the meantime, check out Jeff Reeds' new do.
