Pens news

The Pens have a few things going on, including making some changes. Hal Gill's injury will keep him out two to four weeks, which means Ben Lovejoy should have some more playing time. Philippe Boucher joined the Pens for practice yesterday before they flew to New Jersey and expects to be back soon. Ryan Whitney has continued to practice with contact and says that he hopes to return next week or the week after. Marc-Andre Fleury will not play this week even though he has continued to practice. He says that he has medical clearance to play after his supposed groin injury. Mike Zigomanis has not returned to practice.

Janne Pesonen has been assigned back down to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Baby Pens once again, while two others were brought up. The Pens decided to recall forwards Jeff Taffe and Tim Wallace

Pens notebook here.

Seth over at Empty Netters has some interesting stuff, like that Ryan Miller has delicate ears.

Pens fans are voting a lot in the All-Star balloting. Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin are now in first and second as we write this. The Pensblog had a call to arms to vote for Geno. Obviously it worked. Keep voting!

The Pens will play the New Jersey Devils tonight in New Jersey. The game will be on FSN at 7:08 p.m. Game preview.

Let's go Pens!

P.S. Steelers update tomorrow, hopefully. Sorry!
