Pens play the Thrashers

It's Thursday and tonight the Pens will play the Thrashers. The same night the Steelers play a prime-time game against the Bengals. Why? That's just so cruel. At least the Pens start at 7:08, while the Steelers start somewhere around 8:15 (you know how that goes). But that also means if the Pens are in a particularly exciting game, it'll be hard to watch both to see the end. Unless you have picture in picture. Does that even still exist? Wow, we're out of touch.

Tonight also marks the night that Colby Armstrong plays his old teammates, especially close friend Sidney Crosby. We know a lot of fans miss Colby, us included. Colby says he'll try to get under Sid's skin, but Sid says it won't work and he'll ignore him. They were also planning to meet up when Sid got to Atlanta. *Cue music* Reunited and it feels so good!

Penguins notebook: Fleury might return Saturday. Included in Pens notebook today are: Fleury plans to skate on his own today since he did not travel with the team to Atlanta. He's still listed as day to day. New Penguin Philippe Boucher admitted he was a little nervous in his first game with the Pens. Evgeni Malkin, who was cut in the face and missed part of the last game, left practice after 10 minutes. Uh-oh, hopefully Geno's okay.

Have fun everyone trying to watch both the Steelers and the Pens if you're into both. We're sure we will. Although we do have a secret weapon. We have a black and gold tree we just decorated tonight, hopefully it'll bring good luck. As soon as we get the rest of the bulbs on and the tree topper, we'll take a picture and post it. There's not much cooler than a Steelers/Pens Christmas tree if you ask us.

Go Pens! Go Steelers!

I had heard Geno left practice early but not the 10 minute part. Thanks for the info!
