Pens sign Jordan Staal for four years

The Pens and Jordan Staal have agreed on a four-year contract worth $16 million and an annual cap hit of $4 million a season. He is now signed through the 2012-13 season. Staal was considered the last core player Shero wanted to sign to a longer contract. We know some of you out there wanted Staal to be traded for a winger for Sidney Crosby. Well tonight, Staal is Crosby's winger. Staal will be playing the right wing, with Tyler Kennedy on the left. These three were together for a brief period of time at the end of the Thrasher's game on Tuesday.

As for the rest of the lines, they appear to be Geno with Satan and Sykora, Talbot with Cooke and Go-go, with Tim Wallace, Dustin Jeffrey, and Eric Godard on the fourth line. Hal Gill will be a healthy scratch for the third straight game. We kind of like these lines. Should be interesting.

The rest of the All-Star Game lineup for the East have been announced. You knew Ovie was getting in there, and another Staal has made it in Eric Staal of the Carolina Hurricanes. You can see the rest of the list here.

Sean over at Going Five Hole has posted a link to a workout with Sidney Crosby. If you're a guy and want abs like that (trust us, you do) then pay attention and try out that workout, if you're a girl and you like abs like that (trust us, you do) then go over and watch the videos and drool. There is a screen shot of his abs to start the post so at least go and look at that for now, you won't regret it. ;)
